Maxis is looking for a Feature Producer to be the Lead Producer on the Creator Kits line of DLC releases for The Sims 4 on an 18 month contract. Creator Kits are small collections of clothing or objects, where the assets are authored by members of The Sims community and then polished and packaged for release by Maxis. You will report to a Production Director on The Sims 4. In office, hybrid, or fully remote are all acceptable work models for this role.

Location (Hybrid): Vancouver, Toronto.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of development of Creator Kits to ensure they meet quality standards and milestones
  • Provide guidance and documentation on process and asset development to creators
  • Assist the community team with answering creator’s questions
  • Collaborate with 3d artists and designers on ingestion of creator assets
  • Coordinate and refine marketing assets
  • Align with development directors to hit milestones 
  • Contribute to strategic decisions regarding user generated content
  • Schedule, run, and document meetings
  • Prioritize and resolve emergent issues
  • Review and demo in-development software
  • Manage bug database to assign priority and assess risk
  • Complete all production tasks necessary to ship DLC

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years working as a producer within the gaming industry
  • You have professional experience on a published game for PC, console, or mobile
  • You have gone through more than one full development cycle for a base game or DLC
  • You are capable with tools for bug tracking, documentation, version control, and software development
  • Knowledge of The Sims, or modding / custom content of games is a bonus!

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $89,300 - $123,000 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and after 3 months of service - extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
