Intergalactic Gaming is a central Manchester based, social and competitive esports gaming organisation that officially launched back in 2018. Within a space of six months, we launched our Alpha platform, our minimum viable product, that enables gamers to participate in online tournaments. We’re now underway in the development of our Beta platform where we look to implement and test further features into our platform, before its final release to the public at the latter end of this year.

We are currently seeking a full time font-end web developer to develop our online web platform. At present, we host FIFA tournaments; as we progress, we will expand, hosting tournaments across numerous top esports titles. Intergalactic Gaming is an exciting, unique organisation. Front-end Developer Job Responsibilities:

• Front-end Implementation (responsive web design, modular/scalable CSS, UI frameworks, style guides, progressive enhancement & accessibility, animation and front-end performance).
• Application Development (JavaScript frameworks, JavaScript preprocessors, code quality, process automation, testing).
• Front-end Operations (build tools, deployment, speed: (app, tests, builds, deploys), monitoring errors/logs, and stability).
• Ensuring cross-platform optimisation for mobile phones.
• Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
• Working alongside graphic designers for web design features.
• Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
• Designing and developing APIs.
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs.
• Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

Front-end Developer Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science and relevant commercial experience is essential.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Experience with Object-oriented Programming (OPP) and software designs patterns.
• Not essential but desirable to have Xojo experience
• Experience doing test-driven and behaviour-driven development.
• Experience with blockchain technology not essential, but basic knowledge would be useful.
• Understanding of agile development practices and an ability to work in an agile development environment.
• Proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with front-end frameworks i.e bootstrap 
• Experience with GIT repositories
• Proficiency with NodeJS, Typescript and GraphQL
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Enjoys working with a tight, well motivated and dedicated team.
