Digital Extremes is looking for a passionate and innovative Gameplay Programmer to join our team and craft unforgettable gaming experiences. As a key player in our development process, you'll collaborate with designers to create cutting-edge gameplay systems for next-gen platforms. Whether it's refining mechanics, optimizing performance, or tackling ambitious gameplay challenges, you'll be at the forefront of shaping what’s next in interactive entertainment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with designers to implement innovative gameplay systems for next-gen experiences
- Develop and maintain a high-performance 3D game engine, with a focus on gameplay
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to ensure systems meet production needs and quality standards
- Profile, debug, and optimize code for performance and reliability
- Contribute innovative ideas to all aspects of game development
- Write clean, robust, and maintainable C++ code
- Other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of game development experience with at least one shipped product
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent game development experience.
- Familiarity with large-scale C++ projects, profiling tools, and APIs
- Experience with next-gen consoles and concurrent programming is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
