The Global Vendor Operations Lead at Google Cloud's Vendor Management Office (VMO) oversees a large vendor network, managing relationships with service providers and ensuring high-quality output. Responsibilities include leading business reviews, identifying operational gaps, developing innovative solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, acting as an escalation point, and executing strategic initiatives. The role requires strong data analysis skills (spreadsheets, SQL), experience in vendor management, and the ability to influence without direct authority. The ideal candidate will have experience in enterprise support delivery models, operational efficiency transformation, and leveraging Generative AI tools. Google Cloud is a rapidly growing business, requiring adaptability and a focus on delivering measurable results.

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in executing operational initiatives related to global vendor operations management, program/project management, shared services, or global business services.
- Experience in change management in a changing environment requiring deadline-driven focus and productivity.
- Experience with data spreadsheets and SQL.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Enterprise/B2B support delivery models, extended workforce delivery models, operational efficiency transformation, or management/operations consulting.
- Experience executing large-scale strategic and operational initiatives within a global team.
- Knowledge of leveraging Generative AI (GenAI) tools to enhance the quality, effectiveness and creativity of the deliverables.
- Ability to influence without direct authority, to drive changes at all levels within an organization, and to build strong working relationships.

The Google Cloud Vendor Management Office (VMO) has responsibility for all extended workforce needs across Google Cloud, including but not limited to extended workforce strategy, vendor partner selection, governance, operations and performance management. We partner deeply with all Cloud teams in Support, Learning, Sales and Engineering to set up new vendor engagements and improve existing ones.Google Cloud is a rapidly growing business with continuously evolving needs. Responsibilities
- Oversee a large vendor network distributed across different sites and/or products for Google Cloud Platform Support.
- Own and manage the relationships with the vendor service providers, own service delivery performance partnering closely with suppliers and internal Google Cloud teams to ensure high quality output and successful customer outcomes.
- Lead regular business reviews ensuring sites and/or products are meeting/exceeding goals. Identify operational gaps using a data-driven approach and develop innovative solutions to address these in collaboration with vendor sites and business stakeholders.
- Understand processes impacting the operation and support the relevant stakeholders driving these efforts. Collaborate with executive stakeholders across a large, global organization, and execute complex strategic and operational initiatives.
- Act as the escalation point for internal and external escalations regarding performance and/or supplier relationship.
