Job Description

Tesla seeks an HR Operations Payroll Specialist in London to join its growing HR team. Responsibilities include timely data collation for payroll, transmitting data to external vendors, maintaining employee payroll records, processing payments, coordinating with internal/external stakeholders, generating payroll/HR reports, and managing relationships with HR teams to ensure accurate and timely payments. The role also involves process improvement recommendations and maintaining work instructions/FAQs for employee self-service. Experience in HR/Payroll input preparation is required, international payroll experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) are essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be comfortable handling a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Must have:
  • Payroll data collation and transmission
  • Employee payroll record maintenance
  • Payment processing (advance, termination, etc.)
  • Stakeholder liaison (internal/external)
  • Report generation (payroll & HR)
  • Process improvement recommendations
  • HR/Payroll input preparation experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel)
Good to have:
  • International payroll experience
  • HRIS and E-Ticketing system knowledge

What You’ll Do
  • Responsible for timely collating of payroll relevant data and transmitting all payroll input to our external payroll vendors
  • Perform tasks to establish and maintain employee payroll records
  • Process advance, termination and other out-of-cycle payments
  • Independently coordinate and liaise with our internal stakeholders and/or external parties (as required)
  • Run, develop and distribute payroll and HR reports to various stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage relationships with wider HR-teams to ensure timely and accurate payments, making recommendations for and implementing process improvements
  • Responsible for maintaining current work instructions and FAQs to support employees to self-serve 
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in HR and/or Payroll input preparation
  • Experience in international payroll is a plus
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and E-Ticketing tool systems a plus
  • Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks or shift priorities as needed in a fast-changing environment against deadlines
  • Proven skill at handling stressful issues and interfacing with all levels of the business in a courteous and professional manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Excel
  • English language skills; both written and spoken
