Job description

CrazyGames, a rapidly growing browser games platform with over 35 million monthly players, is looking for another Technical QA Manager to join our Surabaya team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and technical integrity of both new and existing games, helping us deliver the best possible gaming experiences on the web.

As a Technical QA Manager, you will be responsible for evaluating and identifying top quality games, finding and resolving bugs and integration issues, and ensuring that submitted games meet our platform’s technical and quality standards. Working closely with your QA colleagues in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, you will provide hands-on support to our community of hundreds of game developers across the globe.

You will work hybrid (combining office work in Graha Bukopin and remote work). We are specifically looking for people in Surabaya, Indonesia, where the majority of our QA team is based. A good level of English is mandatory.

===============================

Key outcomes for this role:

  • Within 1 month, you have a good understanding of our QA process and standards, the criteria to evaluate game quality, and the technicalities of our SDK features. You already review the first game submissions by yourself.

  • Within 3 months:

    • You dive deeper into the technical structure of our most popular game engines (Unity and HTML5), and are able to test our SDK integration on them

    • You provide valuable game development advice to both developers of new games and existing successful games on a range of advanced topics, including mobile compatibility, gameplay improvements, SDK integrations, and technical performance.

  • Within 6 months:

    • You are able to handle the entire QA process almost independently

    • You are able to solve and document game-related technical issues of our supported game engines

  • Within 12 months, you can fully handle QA and SDK support of the games with minimal to no supervision.

What we offer:

  • Join a dynamic and ambitious team focused on pushing the boundaries of browser gaming.

  • A lot of responsibility and freedom. We hire only experts and trust them to deliver excellent results.

  • Flexible working hours and location (remote). The results are what count!

  • Team weeks: we organize a week in Europe once or twice per year. We pay for everything so you can have fun with the team.

  • The opportunity to play games and claim it's work.

Job requirements

Reach out if:

  • You are a gamer or interested in games, particularly web games. You will be playing a lot of them!

  • You are intelligent, efficient, pragmatic, and organized.

  • You consider yourself a responsible person who can work flexible hours remotely.

  • You have a keen eye for detail and can identify and articulate issues effectively.

  • You are able to make good judgment calls confidently.

  • You have excellent written English communication skills and can provide clear and concise feedback to developers.

  • You are a team player and can collaborate effectively.

  • You are open to feedback and are eager to learn new things.

  • You don’t procrastinate and have the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • You have a good grasp of technical concepts (in the context of the games).

  • You have a relevant degree (e.g., Information Technology, Information Systems, etc.,).

  • You have prior QA experience in games (involving Unity and HTML5) [optional, but a plus!].

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Note: This role does not involve coding or programming on a regular basis. Instead, your focus will be on game evaluation, quality assurance, and SDK implementation support.

**When applying, please write the answers to the screening questions on your own and refrain from using GenAI technologies to avoid your application being outright rejected.**
