Job Description

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for managing inbound leads, generating new business opportunities through online searches, email campaigns, and cold calling, qualifying leads, performing customer needs analysis, presenting products/services, negotiating pricing, closing sales (3-6 month sales cycle), and managing accounts within Salesforce. The ideal candidate possesses experience in inside sales, relationship-building, and navigating longer sales processes. Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills are essential, along with proficiency in Salesforce and Excel. Experience selling services with extended sales cycles and technical sales experience (BioPharma/Life Sciences knowledge a plus) are highly preferred. The role requires working independently and collaboratively in a supportive team environment.

We are supporting our client, a rapidly growing BioPharma company, in their search for an Inside Sales Representative! This organization has doubled in size over the last three years and is expanding its services and sales portfolio. With a strong foundation in inbound sales, the company is enhancing its sales efforts to drive further growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inbound leads, developing new business opportunities, and building strong client relationships.

Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Actively search for new potential customers through online directories, email campaigns, and cold calling.
  • Qualifying Leads: Assess potential customers’ needs and buying intent to identify qualified sales opportunities.
  • Inbound & Outbound Sales Prospecting: Manage inbound leads while also reaching out to potential customers via phone/email to present service features, address concerns, and initiate sales conversations.
  • Customer Needs Analysis: Understand customer pain points and identify how the company’s offerings can solve their problems.
  • Sales Presentations & Demonstrations: Explain product features and benefits through virtual presentations or in-person facility tours.
  • Negotiation: Discuss pricing and terms with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Closing Sales: Effectively manage the sales cycle (typically 3-6 months) to secure new business and achieve sales targets.
  • Account Management: Maintain relationships with existing customers, identify upselling opportunities, and address concerns.
  • CRM Management: Update and maintain customer information within Salesforce to track sales activity and progress.

Inside Sale Representative Qualifications:

  • Experience in inside sales, transactional sales, and relationship-building.
  • Strong understanding of sales cycles (3-6 months) and ability to navigate longer processes for larger deals.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce (NetSuite not required); Excel skills required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and address customer concerns effectively.
  • Ability to handle objections, negotiate pricing, and close deals efficiently.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience selling services/products with an extended sales cycle is highly preferred.
  • Technical sales experience (BioPharma and Life Sciences knowledge is a plus but not required).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a non-competitive team environment.
  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with online sales tools.
