The Company

PayPal has been revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalized, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy.

We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.

We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards.  Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day.  We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a talented Lead Product Manager to join our PPCP team. In this role, you will lead strategic initiatives to optimize cross-border payment solutions, driving market expansion and enhancing customer experience. You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop and launch innovative cross-border payment products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maximizing revenue growth.

Job Description:

At PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL), we believe that every person has the right to participate fully in the global economy. Our mission is to democratize financial services to ensure that everyone, regardless of background or economic standing, has access to affordable, convenient, and secure products and services to take control of their financial lives.

Description:

Our partners are key to expanding PayPal's two-sided network of sellers and buyers and play a vital role in delivering PayPal's products to merchants and sellers. The PayPal Complete Payments Platform (PPCP) is the power behind our partners' payment solutions, from the largest global commerce platforms and marketplaces to up-and-coming startups. We're launching a new era of growth for PPCP by uniting our payment brands with a wealth of payment options, risk and experience tools, and cutting-edge monetization experiences. We are looking for a Lead Product Manager for Cross Border to lead in this new era of growth.

As the Lead Product Manager for the Cross Border, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of global commerce solutions. Your responsibilities will include leading strategic initiatives to optimize cross-border payment solutions, driving market expansion, and enhancing customer experience. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and launch innovative cross-border payment products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maximizing revenue growth. To achieve this, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including partner sales, design, engineering, and marketing—to develop and deploy solutions that address the evolving needs of our partners and customers.

As a strategic and results-driven leader, you will play a crucial role in the next phase of growth for the PayPal Commerce Platform (PPCP). With exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of the payments and commerce landscape, and efforts that will drive business growth and enhance customer satisfaction, you will look to establish PayPal as a leader in payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic initiatives to optimize cross-border payment solutions, driving market expansion and enhancing customer experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and launch innovative cross-border payment products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maximizing revenue growth.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, using this information to inform product strategy and decision-making. Synthesize product insights with input from Sales, GMS, CSM/PSM, and Customers to help drive the product roadmap.
  • Drive market research and learning plans to identify new opportunities and trends in the partner products space. Use this information to inform the product roadmap and product strategy.
  • Develop and drive a globally consistent strategic and technical planning process for sales and product that includes competitive assessment, differentiation, and GTM execution.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance and make data-driven recommendations to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, marketing, business administration)
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, insights, and operations, especially for cross-border products.
  • Strong understanding of the partner products space, and experience developing and launching successful partner-facing products.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization including senior executives at Partners.
  • Strong ability to thrive in a matrix environment where success depends on a high degree of cross-functional collaboration in multiple geographies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Proven track record of delivering products on-time, within budget, and to a high level of quality. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
