Interscope Records is seeking a Manager, Artist Content (Urban) to support and guide the artists on our urban roster in creating engaging social media content. This role focuses on helping artists navigate trends, maximize engagement on short-form video platforms, and develop their unique voice across social channels. The ideal candidate is passionate about urban music culture, deeply immersed in platform trends, and skilled at translating those insights into actionable content strategies for artists.


How You’ll CREATE
• Content Strategy: Guide artists in developing social media content strategies
that align with their brand and resonate with audiences on platforms like TikTok,
Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Snap, and Twitter/X.
• Trend Identification: Stay ahead of platform trends, memes, and viral
challenges, and share real-time insights with artists to inform their content.
• Creative Collaboration: Work closely with artists to brainstorm, plan, and
execute content ideas that highlight their personality and music while leveraging trends.
• Platform Expertise: Advise artists on platform-specific best practices to
maximize reach and engagement (e.g., format, timing, captions, and hashtags).
• Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of artist content and
campaigns, providing feedback and optimization strategies to increase impact.
• Education & Empowerment: Empower artists with the tools and knowledge
needed to confidently manage their social media presence and engage
authentically with fans.
• Collaboration: Partner with digital marketing and creator marketing teams to
align artist content with larger campaign objectives.
• Influencer Insights: Provide artists with recommendations for influencer
collaborations and partnerships to boost visibility.

• Experience: 2-4+ years of experience in social media strategy, content creation,
or influencer marketing within the music industry, with a focus on urban music.
• Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of short-form platforms (TikTok,
Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) and social media trends.
• Creative Insight: Ability to brainstorm engaging content ideas and translate
trends into meaningful content for artists.
• Analytics: Proficient in tracking content performance metrics and turning insights
into actionable improvements.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate
with artists, managers, and internal teams effectively.
• Mentorship: Passion for empowering artists to develop their social media
presence authentically and strategically.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but relevant experience and expertise are highly
valued.
