Position Overview
The Manager, Strategy & Growth role will support the division of Ziff Davis (NASDAQ: ZD) that owns & operates premium Technology & Shopping digital media and software brands. Leading properties within Ziff Davis’s Tech & Shopping (T&S) portfolio include: CNET, RetailMeNot, Mashable, PCMag, TDS Gift Cards, Lifehacker, Spiceworks, and more.
We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to develop and support growth strategies across these businesses. This role reports to the Senior Director, Strategy & Growth, who reports directly to the President of Ziff Davis Tech & Shopping (T&S).
The Strategy & Growth team drives impact in three core areas:
Strategy & Insights: Supporting strategic decision-making by surfacing key insights and identifying opportunities for growth. Responsibilities include conducting market and competitive analysis, building business cases, and translating data into clear, actionable recommendations. The team also partners with leadership on annual and quarterly planning.
Performance & Operational Excellence: Ensuring the business operates efficiently and delivers against its goals. Responsibilities include building and maintaining dashboards to track key performance indicators, driving process improvements, and supporting resourcing and budgeting decisions.
Program Execution & Cross-Functional Alignment: Managing high-impact initiatives, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment, and making sure priorities are translated into action. A key part of this role is coordinating execution, resolving blockers, and ensuring accountability across teams to deliver on business objectives.
There is additional opportunity to support the following:
Business Development: Assessing, negotiating, and implementing revenue-generating partnerships, as well as supporting strategic vendor relationship management.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that touches the most important priorities for Ziff Davis T&S. Projects span across our brands, and no two days look the same. You’ll collaborate directly with brand leaders and executive stakeholders across the organization.
We’re seeking a self-starter who can own projects from start to finish, communicate clearly and effectively, and deliver structured recommendations backed by data. Ideal candidates are strong in both analysis and storytelling, comfortable operating in ambiguity, and deeply curious about the evolving tech and digital media landscape.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years work experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, equity research, banking, and/or equivalent experience in relevant industry verticals (e.g., tech, media, ecommerce)
Bachelor’s degree required.
Have authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
Interest in Ziff Davis Tech and Shopping verticals
Strategic problem solver, with excellent interpersonal skills, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and logical structuring skills and ability to solve difficult business problems through financial models and supporting analyses (e.g., slide development)
Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiating skills
Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting in front of senior leadership

*Note: Disclosure as required by NYCHRL, the base salary range for this role when being performed in the City of New York is $135,000-$160,000 with an annual bonus opportunity. Compensation for this business unit specific role is based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, as well as business & company performance.
