Job Description

The Microsoft Power BI Administrator will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and providing daily technical support for Microsoft Power BI Service and related applications. This includes collaborating with the architect team, monitoring health and performance, updating data gateways, creating and configuring workspaces, managing user permissions, and using the Power BI Admin Portal and Azure Monitor. The role involves troubleshooting issues, ensuring connectivity to data sources, qualifying new versions, implementing automation, and providing 24/7 support through on-call duties. The administrator will also need to respect contractual SLAs related to operations KPIs.
Must have:
  • 2 years of experience in Business Intelligence support and platform administration.
  • Knowledge of PowerApps, Azure Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Technical expertise in Windows Server administration.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Knowledge with Jenkins, Ansible and Git.

We are looking for a Microsoft Power BI Administrator (M/F) who will responsible for the related deployments, configurations and daily basis technical support of Microsoft Power BI Service and related applications.

Your responsibilities:

  • Collaborate very closely with architect team and other operations team members to ensure a daily technical support on the deployment and configuration of Microsoft Power BI Service and ensure its alignment with regular enterprise quality standards
  • Monitor the health and performance of Power BI Service and its associated services
  • Regularly update the data gateway platforms to maintain compatibility and address security concerns
  • Create and configure new Power BI Workspaces based on organisational requirements
  • Add/remove users and assign appropriate roles in Power BI Admin portal
  • Regularly review permissions to ensure compliance
  • Use Power BI Admin Portal and Azure Monitor to track usage and performance
  • Monitor and enforce usage limits (e.g., dataset size, refresh frequency)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft Azure tenant and data gateways infrastructure
  • Ensure proper connectivity between cloud services and on-premises data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.).
  • Creating and managing connections to various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, SharePoint, Oracle).
  • Qualify new versions and patches through rigorous functional testing, performance testing, and security assessments
  • Work to improve operational efficiency by implementing automation and clear procedures for operational colleagues
  • Supporting the operations activities in 24/7 by assuming the rotating on-call duties and different shifts during normal working hours
  • Respecting the contractual SLAs related to operations KPI

Your profile:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Intelligence support and platform administration within a medium to large IT environment
  • Knowledge of PowerApps, Azure Synapse or Microsoft Fabric
  • Technical expertise in Windows Server administration
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for various tasks and automation
  • Any knowledge with Jenkins, Ansible and Git is a plus
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
  • EU citizenship is required
