Job Description

The People Leader Partner is responsible for executing the Global People Strategy of a particular business, region or function within a fast paced, dynamic environment. This role is part of a global team of PLPs responsible for coaching People Leaders and their teams. The People Leader Partner is responsible for a number of People Leaders within a Business, Region or Function who are based in multiple geographies. She/He works closely with their respective People Business Partner to ensure the People Leaders successfully execute B/R/F workforce strategy. Engages with local People Partner in case of specific legal limitations or local labor law requirements. Support people leaders in understanding way of working in People Function Operating Model, personally being an advocate and role model. 

Your role:

  • Talent and Leadership Partner with People leaders to ensure that we build organizational capability by attracting developing and retaining top talent with the potential to grow to roles with greater impact. Conduct exit interviews for select critical roles (CG70 and below) and incorporate feedback in team priorities and leadership. - Build capacity for People Leaders to lead organizational transformation effectively and support in navigating change. - Provide coaching to People Leaders to enhance their leadership capabilities and build high-performing teams.
  • Performance and Development Enable People Leaders to drive impactful performance management, fostering employee growth and development through setting clear responsibilities and goals, and holding regular performance and development discussions in alignment with global philosophy and local guidelines. Guide managers in their scope and if needed, provide guidance in handover to the local People Partner. Ensure that people leaders carry out directions given by the local PP teams in the countries for compliance and cultural norms. 
  • Engagement and Culture Partner with People Leaders to role model and foster our culture of impact with care, manage team engagement and act on feedback (e.g. through Employee Engagement Survey). Ensure People Leaders facilitate efficient and impactful onboarding of new team members leveraging available global resources. 
  • Workforce Planning and Operations Partner with People Leaders to ensure organizational structures are aligned with business needs and operational workforce plans and position management is secured optimizing cost. Grading of CG70 roles and below if required.
  • Business Transformation Support A strategic partner in business transformation initiatives designing people impact assessment and strategies ensuring leadership buy-in and smooth planning for activation with local People Partners.   If necessary, represent the business context in conversations with unions or workers councils to ensure local compliance at all times.  Ensure appropriate handoffs to local People Partners in cases where local legal advice is needed, i.e. PIPs, reorganizations, etc. Could manage high complexity in terms of the number and diverse set business/function and/or countries served in combination with capability required to manage stakeholders; Executes strategic initiatives, mostly applying independent judgement

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, People Management, Change Management, HR Processes or equivalent.  Minimum of 5 years of experience in People Partnering or similar roles, preferably in a regional or global environment. 
  • Proven ability to coach and develop and influence People Leaders fostering a culture of high performance and leadership excellence. Experience leading organizational change, business transformation and People Initiatives with measurable impact
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and high-complex situations, providing clear guidance and solutions. Ability to operate with high degree of autonomy, shaping and executing the strategies while aligning with People Business Partner.
  • Strong communication and strategic influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and guide People Leaders.  - Extensive experience managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple geographies, cultures and businesses
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.  

How we work together 

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.   

The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is $100,000- $160,000.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Cambridge, MA.
