We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Salesforce Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the VP, Customer Success Business Architecture, you will:
- Participate with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on technical architecture related to Customer Success technology implementations with an initial focus on Salesforce.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, data, and UX stakeholders to design the future of Salesforce and adjacent tools for customers and Customer Success.
- Perform hands-on software development that is highly leveraged (eg. building proofs-of-concept) to enable IT to operationalize new technologies and features for Customer Success
- Serve as technical ambassador between Customer Success team and dependent teams to drive technical designs through the architecture process
- Serve as the Salesforce domain expert within a high performing, fast paced, distributed systems Customer Success tools and automation team
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- Deep understanding of Salesforce fundamentals
- Experience with testing frameworks and practices
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Solid understanding of relational databases
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in platform engineering in a large technology product company
- Experience in Java and Spring Boot framework/ JavaScript, node.js
- Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
