Rheos platform at eBay plays a crucial role of providing scalable, reliable, cloud-native real-time data platform that enables product teams on business decision making and execution. Rheos products include Kafka streams, Flink stream processing and generic messaging service.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate engineer to build on world-class capabilities of the real-time streaming and messaging data platform.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design and develop managed, scalable, cloud-native real-time streaming and messaging platform.
• A highly technical, hands-on, motivated, and collaborative individual with exceptional communication skills and proven experience working with diverse teams.
• Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience in the industry.
• Expert in Java, SQL and streaming/messaging technology.
• Familiar with real-time knowledge of Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, messaging queue is a big plus.
• Work experience in real-time platform, e-commerce industry is big plus.
• Hands on experience working with Agile teams and framework.
• Fluent English and Mandarin, being able to coordinate and negotiate in English.
