At Wizards of the Coast, we connect people around the world through play and imagination. From our genre-defining games like Magic: The Gathering® and Dungeons & Dragons® to our growing multiverse, we continue to innovate and build new ways to foster friendship and connection. That’s where you come in!

We are Hasbro Gaming Online. Hasbro GO drives our unified account system, e-commerce/entitlements, and social features common to all Wizards and Hasbro digital games. We are looking for a principal user experience (UX) designer able to be the first on our team and drive subject matter expertise for our organization. Our entire connected player base will use the websites and flows generated through this role.

Our department is bringing on a principal UX designer to dig in and define our Figma toolset, brand approach, and common style guide to get our users to desired features quickly. This role will interpret the business needs and translate them into a common but highly effective customer experience. To expand and grow our capabilities, this person will be responsible for the full stack of user design from research, through customer journeys and user flows, through wireframes and prototypes.

This position will be on a team with the Senior Manager of Digital Product, Senior Data Product Owner, and Senior Data Analyst collaborating on leveling up our build-measure-learn capability in sustainable, well-championed, experiments.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner closely on strategy with product ownership, development teams, and data owners to gather the user requirements needed.
  • Facilitate the product vision by conducting research, low-fidelity wires, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for our mobile application and digital ecosystem.
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for devices and interfaces.
  • Capable of acting as an SME and project lead for a large, critical project. May provide direction to teams and act as a primary point of contact.
  • Be accountable for strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
  • Collaborate with other team members and partners.
  • Ask inquisitive questions, do things differently, and champion innovation.

What You'll Bring:

  • 6+ years of working in UX design experiences across digital channels. Preference to those working in account management systems focused on marketing and user value.
  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma, Sketch, Axure, UXPin, Balsamiq, and the like is a must. Figma is our current tool and to be able to maintain designs in that environment.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
  • Ability to work with partners, product owners, and development leads to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet their needs and vision.
  • Extensive experience in using UX design standard methodologies to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and adaptable design.
  • Ability to break down big projects into clear results needed while working in agile sprint teams.
  • Ability to translate current trends, common practices, and mental models for non-designers.
  • To be a lead advocate for design processes, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively within our production team and with our partners.
  • Be open to receiving and giving feedback to build stronger design practices.

Compensation Range, Currency USD:
