We are currently seeking a Product Manager IV (21838) for an exciting contract opportunity with a global online marketplace platform, located in San Jose, CA. As a Product Manager IV (21838), you’ll be part of a talented team responsible for developing and delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions in the e-commerce space. With a strong focus on UI/UX development, Agile methodologies, and seller-focused product features, you will play a key role in shaping the future of a global platform. This is a 7-12 month contract position offering the opportunity to work alongside cross-functional teams and drive impactful product releases.
Customer-Centric Focus: Lead the development of product features that prioritize customer needs. Leverage insights from design, research, and direct feedback throughout the product lifecycle to create user-first solutions.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams, as well as cross-functional partners in marketing, analytics, operations, and strategy, to align on product goals and roadmaps.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Synthesize quantitative and qualitative customer insights to inform product concepts and requirements. Use competitive analysis to drive the strategic direction and identify opportunities for differentiation.
Agile Development & Product Planning: Break down complex features into manageable tasks and user stories, following Agile methodologies. Work with engineering to define scope, timelines, and dependencies, ensuring successful execution of features.
Quality Assurance & Testing: Collaborate with engineering teams to define and review test cases, lead software testing sessions, and ensure the final product meets quality standards and SLAs.
Product Launch & Communication: Coordinate software releases, including release notes, training, and marketing, to ensure product launches are smooth and impactful. Keep stakeholders informed of progress through regular updates.
Strategic & Technical Leadership: Lead discussions on product functionality and technical requirements. Balance trade-offs between customer impact, engineering effort, and development cost.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a product manager, with a focus on user-facing products, preferably in e-commerce or a similar industry.
Technical Background: Strong technical knowledge with experience managing software products using Agile methodologies. A background in engineering is a plus.
UI/UX Focus: Expertise in UI/UX development is essential, as it will be a major component of this role. A passion for building seamless user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Problem-Solving & Innovation: Ability to design and implement creative, user-centric solutions, and solve complex product challenges.
Project Management: Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously. Strong communication and organizational skills.
E-commerce Experience: Experience with e-commerce platforms, whether as a seller, product manager, or frequent buyer, will be highly beneficial.
Product Management: 5-7 years of experience in product management, preferably in e-commerce or consumer-facing products.
UI/UX Development: Proficiency in UI/UX development and understanding of design tools and methodologies.
Agile Expertise: Experience in Scrum and Agile processes, with a strong ability to create user stories, manage backlogs, and work within sprint cycles.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analytics to track product performance and make data-driven decisions.
Seller-Focused Products: Familiarity with B2C seller tools, including managing policies, listings, shipping, and uploads, is a plus.
Leadership Experience: Experience presenting to high-level stakeholders and managing multiple projects at once.
Agile & Scrum Work: Experience working in an Agile environment, handling sprint planning, backlog management, and user story creation.
To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week, and the length of the assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
