As a Product Manager Intern at Alocai, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing the product strategy to enhance AI localization solutions, particularly Modelwiz on the Alocai platform. Your responsibilities will include conducting market research to understand the needs of video game players, crafting and maintaining a product roadmap aligned with quarterly goals, defining and tracking KPIs to measure product success, collaborating with the CEO to prioritize product features based on customer value, overseeing the product backlog and managing development cycles using agile methodologies, working closely with the engineering team, coordinating with the Machine Translation (MT) Manager, engaging in sales strategies, providing client support during onboarding, and staying abreast of the latest industry trends.
Must have:
  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Game Design, Linguistics, or related field
  • Enthusiasm for AI technologies
  • Strong sense of responsibility and product knowledge
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment
  • Data-driven decision-making
  • Influential, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Jira, Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies like SCRUM and Kanban

As a Product Manager at Alocai, you will spearhead the development and execution of our product strategy to enhance our AI localization solutions such as Modelwiz on Alocai platform. 
 
Your Role
 
  • Market Research: Conduct comprehensive analysis to understand the needs, preferences, and challenges of our target market (video game). This includes studying competitors, market trends, and gathering feedback from clients and prospects.
  • Product Roadmap: Craft and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with our quarterly group goals, detailing key milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track KPIs to measure product success and identify improvement areas. Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to keep them updated and involved.
  • Feature Prioritization: Collaborate with the CEO to prioritize product features based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility using agile methodologies.
  • Agile Management: Oversee the product backlog and manage development cycles, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Cross-functional Management: Work closely with the engineering team, coordinate with the Machine Translation (MT) Manager, engage in sales strategies, client follow-ups, and demo sessions.
  • Client Support: Assist clients during onboarding, provide product education, and troubleshoot issues to gain insights for product enhancements.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously adapt and refine the product strategy.
Your profile
  • Currently pursuing a Masters or Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Game Design, Linguistics, or related filed
  • AI Enthusiasm: You possess a genuine enthusiasm for exploring AI technologies and their potential to revolutionize industries and improve daily operations.
  • Ownership: A robust sense of responsibility and comprehensive knowledge of the product.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and make decisive trade-offs among competing priorities.
  • Data-Driven: Decision-making based on solid data, research, and facts.
  • Skills: Influential, analytical, and leadership skills are crucial. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Jira, Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with agile methodologies like SCRUM and Kanban.
Nice to have

  • Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge about AI-based products, familiarity with Figma and Webflow.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the localization industry, gaming industry, B2B, and/or SaaS.
  • Location: Based in Berlin is preferred, but remote candidates are also welcome.
  • Passionate about video games and familiar with major gaming platforms.
