QA Tester (In-Office/Hybrid)

Day To Day
Responsibilities
- Duplicate the mindset of typical and/or atypical users, while dissecting the game methodically to locate even hidden bugs
- Track and re-test all existing bugs regularly, and update the bug database accordingly
- Regularly re-test all elements in the game as directed by the testing lead
- Re-test closed bugs that are potentially affected by changes to running and functionality
- Follow rigorous procedures for testing the regression of bugs, with particular attention to possible side stream, or knock on bug
- Assist Sr. Testers with test-case development
- Other duties/projects as directed
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Must Haves
- Experience with game development tools, debugging utilities, and white-box testing methodologies.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical knowledge to external development partners through written and verbal documentation.
- Strong understanding of gameplay testing principles, with experience in feature ownership and structured test execution.
- Ability to analyze gameplay and system behaviors with a methodical and exploratory approach.
- Proficiency in bug tracking databases, MS Office tools, and documentation processes.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to fast-paced, evolving project needs.
- Passion for gaming and familiarity with modern game development trends.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both written and verbal
- Work well in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

Education & Experience Required
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree is preferred. Three or more years of experience is required.
