Your Mission 

To lead Communications and Public Relations for Activision’s Emerging Franchises business as a Senior Communications Specialist. In this role, you will successfully work cross-functionally to ensure that our objectives are met. Additionally, you will craft compelling and newsworthy stories that support key product launches. As a Senior Communications Specialist, you will manage the communications for multiple titles which includes games such as Crash Bandicoot, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Spyro the Dragon, among other classic franchises, which are in various stages of their product lifecycle.  

Additionally, you will partner closely with the team’s Digital Marketing lead to take on the various Emerging Franchises brand channels and communities and be voice of our games to our players around the world.  

As a seasoned PR pro, you know comms comes at you fast and priorities can change quickly, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: 

  • Overseeing PR and Communications for Emerging Franchises including, drafting the communication strategy, media relations, press events, reporting, influencer engagement management 
  • Partnering closely with external our PR and social media agencies, regional PR teams, and leaders to drive comms strategy and broaden outreach    
  • Owning social media copywriting, posting and community management 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive long-range and short-term PR plans 
  • Create and manage PR editorial calendar to organize the strategic cadence of communications 
  • Draft accurate and error-free documents with a strong attention to detail 
  • Produce a wide range of compelling content to support campaigns including key messages, talking points, email drafts, decks, slides, video, surveys, internal articles, etc. 
  • Experiment with creative ways to reach press with the news and information they care about 
  • Develop time-sensitive and important messaging for the teams you support, while also evaluating and reporting on sentiment of messages 
  • Manage media opportunities including product integration, celebrity and influencer engagement 
  • Oversee global communications budget and manage cost with finance and accounting teams, including vendor and contract management 

Player Profile 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing preferred  
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in communications, PR or a similar role  
  • Excellent written communication skills, strategic thinking ability, and attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines 
  • Knowledge of communication strategies for both traditional and digital media 
  • Experience and passion for gaming is a plus

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $72,720.00 - $134,460.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
