Mythical Games is seeking a Game Product Manager to play a key role in the post-launch success and ongoing live operations of a Pudgy Penguins™ mobile game. This role will focus on optimizing engagement, retention, and monetization through live events, feature iterations, economy tuning, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a strong understanding of free-to-play (F2P) mobile games, player motivations, and the competitive landscape. You will work closely with senior product leadership, design, engineering, and marketing to drive continuous improvements that enhance the player experience and business performance.

This position reports to the Lead Product Manager and will collaborate across multiple teams within Mythical Games to support company goals and product initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Live Operations & Game Optimization:

     •  Support post-launch and live operations strategy, driving engagement and revenue through in-game events, promotions, and new content releases.
     •  Leverage analytics to monitor game health KPIs (DAU, retention, ARPDAU, LTV) and recommend optimizations to improve player experience and monetization.
     •  Partner with the monetization and marketing teams to define pricing strategies, economy balancing, and in-game promotions to maximize revenue while maintaining a fair and engaging experience.
     •  Work with the game design and engineering teams to test and iterate on live features, ensuring that updates align with player needs and business objectives.

•  Data-Driven Decision Making:

     •  Analyze player behavior, market trends, and competitor insights to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
     •  Collaborate with data analysts to develop A/B tests and experiments that inform feature development and live operations strategies.
     •  Present findings and actionable insights to stakeholders, helping to drive alignment and decision-making.

•  Cross-Functional Collaboration:

     •  Maintain and manage the product backlog in partnership with the Senior Game Product Manager, ensuring that priority tasks are aligned with product goals.
     •  Assist in defining feature requirements and working with development teams to execute updates efficiently.
     •  Communicate and coordinate across teams, including art, design, engineering, and marketing, to ensure smooth execution of live operations initiatives.

Qualifications:

•  2+ years of experience in product management or live operations for a successful free-to-play mobile, PC, or web-based game.
•  Strong understanding of F2P mobile game economies, engagement loops, and monetization strategies.
•  Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Amplitude, Looker) to measure performance and guide product decisions.
•  Ability to analyze data, build reports, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
•  Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
•  Experience with A/B testing and performance analysis to optimize live features and in-game promotions.
•  Comfortable working with Agile development processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
•  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Business, Game Design) or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

•  Familiarity with SQL or basic data querying to support analysis.
•  Experience working on live events, seasonal content, or in-game promotions for a live mobile game.
•  Passion for games and knowledge of the mobile gaming industry, player motivations, and competitive landscape.
•  Demonstrates web3 (open market) economy knowledge.
