As a Senior Gameplay Animator, you will create realistic animations for human enemies (NPCs) in a game. You will work with Gameplay Designers, Programmers, and Technical Animators to bring NPCs to life. Your responsibilities include using Autodesk Maya, MotionBuilder, and Unreal Engine to create animations, planning and directing motion capture sessions, and developing animation systems. You will also be responsible for maintaining animation asset creation workflows and organizational structures within the engine. This role is a one-year contract and requires collaboration with industry veterans. Your work will enhance gameplay and align with the game's overall vision, contributing to a dynamic, creative environment.
Must have:
  • Create in-game animations using Maya, MotionBuilder, and Unreal Engine.
  • Plan and direct motion capture sessions.
  • Establish animation asset creation workflows.

Job Details

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Gameplay Animator to join our team on a fixed-term one-year contract. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Gameplay Designers, Programmers, and Technical Animators to create lifelike and immersive animations for human enemies (NPCs). You’ll be responsible for planning and crafting animation sets that bring our NPCs to life, enhancing gameplay and aligning with the game’s overall vision.   • Delivering in-game animations using Autodesk Maya, MotionBuilder and Unreal Engine as the main art creation and implementation tools.
  • Planning, preparing, and directing motion capture sessions.
  • Establishing and maintaining animation asset creation workflows, folders, naming conventions and other engine-related organizational structures.
  • Planning and co-developing multipleNPC-related animation systems, including the structures of animation graphs, procedural animation setups, and engine-specific auxiliary data such as notification and synchronization events, and additional data settings files.
