As a Senior Product Analyst focused on incident detection and prevention, you'll be responsible for ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for players. You'll collaborate with analytics, game teams, and backend tech teams to respond to disruptions and prevent incidents from impacting players. Your expertise in analytics will be key to maintaining seamless operations and delivering moments of magic for players. Key responsibilities include conducting risk analysis, leading incident investigations, overseeing monitoring processes, creating alerts, and coordinating incident management and mitigation efforts. You'll have experience in a similar role, ideally in the game industry, and possess strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Python or R.
Must have:
  • 3+ years experience in an analytical role
  • Highly proficient in SQL
  • Sufficient skills in Python or R
  • Experience working with data, engineering, operations, and business intelligence
  • Masters' or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, or similar
Good to have:
  • Game industry experience
  • Experience with time series analysis and forecasting

Job Description:

As a Senior Product Analyst focused on incident detection and prevention, you will be the guardian of our kingdom, dedicated to delivering the smoothest, most enjoyable experience for our players. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with analytics, game teams, and backend tech teams to not only respond quickly to disruptions but also proactively work to prevent incidents from impacting our kingdom. Your expertise in analytics will be a key asset in maintaining seamless operations and ensuring players continue to experience their moments of magic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Analysis : Conduct thorough pre-release risk analysis, feature-specific monitoring, and player support-driven investigations. 

  • Incident Investigations: Lead in-depth investigations of slow-moving incidents and provide internal risk and cost estimates.

  • Monitoring : Oversee comprehensive monitoring processes, including feature-level monitoring, release, and dedicated work-hour monitoring. 

  • Alerting : Create and Manage game specific alerts (e.g., Anodot) and ensure effective monitoring of recommendation models.

  • Incident Coordination & Communication: Coordinate live incident management and mitigation efforts, ensuring timely internal communication and driving retrospectives to improve future processes.

Experience
 

  • Previous experience in similar role

  • Game industry experience

Knowledge & Skills
 

  • Work experience: 3+ years experience working in an analytical role within advertising, gaming, tech or management consulting

  • Highly proficient in SQL as well as sufficient skills in Python or R for numerical analysis.

  • Prior experience working directly with other peers in data, engineering, operations and business intelligence. 

  • Masters’ or PhD Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering or similar field or work experience

  • Experience with time series analysis and forecasting
