Job Description

As a Senior Solution Sales Specialist (Azure Apps & Innovation), you will build on your stakeholder management skills, communicating with and influencing multiple stakeholders in application innovation. You'll develop new business, build strong pipelines, and execute a business plan to achieve revenue and segment goals. Key responsibilities include creating a buy-in vision with decision-makers, identifying customer digital transformation needs, orchestrating technical experts to create and validate solutions, building business cases with TCO analysis, and negotiating deals. You'll also drive App Innovation sales, exceeding revenue and consumption goals, and influence Microsoft's go-to-market strategies. This role requires significant technology sales, consulting, or account management experience with a focus on modernization deals for large multinational organizations.

In this role, you will build on your stakeholder management skills as you communicate with, and, influence multiple stakeholders in the application innovation space, enabling them to enhance their company’s digital capabilities and realise the benefits of application modernisation. You will sharpen your sales acumen as you set sales plans and engage in technical sales conversations, all whilst building your internal network as you orchestrate teams across Microsoft to deliver on key customer goals.

Qualifications

It’s your technical knowledge and passion for technology that will enable you to achieve the commercial outcomes needed to be successful in this role. You will also be able to demonstrate:

 

  • Significant technology sales, consulting or account management experience
  • An extensive background of selling modernisation deals to large multinational organisations
  • Knowledge of application architecture (Cloud / On Premise) and the competitor landscape
  • Regular interaction with senior level decision-makers in customer organisations
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

As an Azure Application & Innovation Sales Specialist, you will develop new business, build strong pipelines, and execute a business plan to achieve revenue and segment goals. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Creating “buy-in” vision with the Apps decision-makers as you take an active role in defining the customer’s business challenges and opportunities. Understand the financial, qualitative and competitive drivers impacting customer business. Establish credibility and trust by demonstrating that Microsoft solutions not only solve customer business problems but also the value they realized.
  • Identifying customer’s digital transformation needs, business drivers, their perspectives, and concerns. Establishing and understanding the buying decision criteria and timeline.
  • Orchestrating the technical experts to create the solution, validate it via Proof of Concept, and showcase how it meets customer business and technology requirements.
  • Building business cases with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and negotiating a deal that’s based on value by leveraging various Microsoft offers and programs. Securing customer commitment for the business proposal.
  • Driving App Innovation sales to exceed revenue, consumption and scorecard ; maintaining excellence in pipeline management, accuracy of sales forecast, and deal close plans.
  • Influencing the Microsoft Application Innovation go to market strategies by providing feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering on product requirements and sales blockers.
  • Maintaining and growing expertise in developer tools, cloud native architecture and technologies, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the specialist community.
  • Exceeding sales / cloud consumption quota by professional pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
