Job Description

The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the architecture, deployment, maintenance, and security of the company's infrastructure services, systems, and networks. Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN, VPN, VLANs, routers, switches, and firewalls. This role involves monitoring network infrastructure, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and performing network tuning and upgrades. The administrator will install, configure, and manage both cloud and on-premises servers and services, ensuring data and configuration integrity. They will work towards creating a reliable, efficient, and scalable infrastructure using configuration as code methodologies, collaborating across departments to evolve systems standards. This position also includes documenting and automating daily tasks, participating in system planning, providing 3rd level support, and staying current with technology trends.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in IT
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting
  • Experience with VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting and packet analysis
  • Configuration/administration of routers, switches, firewalls
  • Understanding of cloud networking (OCI, AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of structured cabling standards
  • Process automation and deployment
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring solutions
  • Medium-high English level
Good to have:
  • Deploy, configure, maintain server platforms (Windows, Linux, UNIX)
  • Virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, cloud)
  • Storage (SAN, NAS, RAID), backup/disaster recovery
  • Scripting (PowerShell, Python, bash)
  • IaC: Ansible/Terraform
  • Experience with high availability systems
  • Experience in virtualization and deployment
  • Experience in 3D animation sector
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification
  • Spanish language proficiency

Job Details

The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the architecture, deployment, maintenance and security of the company’s infrastructure services, systems, and networks.

Responsibilities

    •     Design, implement, and manage Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN, VPN, VLANs, routers, switches, and firewalls.
    •  Monitor network infrastructure, troubleshoot connectivity issues and conduct network tuning
    •    Perform network upgrades.
    • Installing, configuring, and managing servers and services both cloud and on-premises.
    • Installing and evaluating new software releases, system upgrades and patches.
    • Maintaining and monitoring system configuration to ensure data and configuration integrity.
    • Operating with the objective of having a reliable, efficient, and scalable infrastructure using configuration as code methodologies.
    •    Collaborating across departments to evolve systems standards studio wide.
    • Documenting and automating daily tasks.
    • Participating in large system and subsystem planning.
    • 3rd level of support functions, including problem isolation and resolution.
    •   Keeping up on current methodologies and technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company.
    • Works together with the team providing them with support, guidance and instruction in areas that contribute towards their artistic and professional growth
    • Follows the Supervisor’s and Lead´s guidance.

Requierements

    • Professional Experience:
    • 5+ years of professional experience in IT departments

    • Qualifications and Skills:

    •   Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.
    • Experience with VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
    • Proficiency in network troubleshooting and packet analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump).
    • Configuration and administration of routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Understanding cloud networking (OCI, AWS, Azure Virtual Network).
    • Knowledge of structured cabling standards (Ethernet, fiber optics).
    • Process automation and deployment.
    • Experience with enterprise monitoring solutions.
    •  
    • Preferred Qualifications
    • Deploy, configure, and maintain server platforms (Windows, Linux, UNIX), virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, cloud), storage (SAN, NAS, RAID), and backup/disaster recovery processes.
    • Scripting (PowerShell, Python, bash).
    • Knowledge of IaC: Ansible/Terraform.
    • Experience with high availability systems.
    • Experience in process of virtualization and deployment.
    • Experience in the 3D animation sector.
    • Recommended certification: Cisco CCNA/CCNP.
    •  
    • Language Requirements:
    • Medium-high English level required.
    • Spanish very desirable.
