Oculus Studios and Sanzaru Games has an immediate Tools Programmer position working to support artists create content on virtual reality games. Senior Tools Programmer - Sanzaru Responsibilities
Build Unreal Editor Tools designed to aid Artists in developing their content and enhancing their workflows.
Supporting Artists and Designers to rapidly prototype tools aiding in mesh creation and gameplay setup.
Supporting generalized art workflow tools in applications such as Houdini.
Aiding in triage of performance and visual issues to artist or rendering engineering teams.
Thinking creatively and critically to expand user experiences into new virtual reality medium.
Working closely with engineers and designers to contribute on game architecture and technical design.
Capacity to identify opportunities for workflow improvement and generate tools to accomplish them..
Minimum Qualifications
At least 6 years of game industry experience
Experienced developing tools for a shipped Console, PC or VR game
C++ Proficiency
Proven history profiling game performance on large scale projects.
Experience developing with Unreal Engine
Proven experience extending large project code basis to facilitate tools
Proven experience collaborating with large teams containing multiple art and design disciplines.
BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience shipping a VR title
Experience working with Houdini
Proven history developing impactful tools to improve artist workflow in Unreal
Proven history developing pipelines and workflows for breakables and destructibles.
