Scopely is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Vehicle Artist - Hard Surface to join our team based from the UK, Ireland, Spain or Portugal on a hybrid or remote basis! We can support with visa sponsorship and relocation assistance.

We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced, cross-platform Strategy/MMO title, creating a team of talented and passionate game makers to join us on this exciting journey!

What You’ll Do
As a highly collaborative, passionate and motivated 3D vehicle artist you will help push our visual quality bar to the next level. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Art team and will be expected to create outstanding quality science fiction related vehicles. 
They will have an excellent knowledge of modern 3D digital art techniques including Substance Designer/Painter, and have a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of 3D vehicles.
  • You will work closely with the Art Director and the Art Lead 
  • You will take ownership of these vehicles and ensure that they are delivered to a high technical and visual standard
  • Creation of game ready assets within the technical and artistic requirements of the project (high and low poly)
  • Collaborate with other artists and departments in making the best possible asset
  • Balance quality with efficiency when working under tight deadlines and the hardware constraints of mobile game development
  • Work with external vendors to supply feedback and support as required
  • Work with other departments to improve and optimise our workflows and pipeline
What We’re Looking For

  • You will be able to demonstrate a history of creating stunning models in a variety of different styles
  • Experience in shipping multiple titles in your career as a vehicle or hard surface artist 
  • Expertise with Maya or 3DsMax, Z-Brush and Substance Designer/Painter 
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of PBR materials
  • Mastery of modern hard-surface techniques and workflows
  • Experience building realistic models for AAA titles
  • Solid communication, time management, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Positive approach and an ability to receive and act upon feedback
  • Excellent comprehension of mesh topology, flow and optimisation techniques for games
  • A passion to push yourself and learn new skills
