The Sourcing Specialist II will be part of the DX/A&E (Adventures and Expeditions) Sourcing Team, responsible for sourcing and procurement activities. Key responsibilities include working with the clients to implement Travel related deals, while managing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and developing Contracts. This role focuses on maximizing the experiences for Disney’s Travel Guests for Walt Disney Parks while maintaining business performance (cost, value, relationship, compliance). The Specialist will participate in cross-functional teams, developing strategic sourcing arrangements with suppliers, and continuously improving processes. This includes sourcing and negotiating supply relationships for internal clients, managing supplier relationships, and conducting supplier analysis including compliance. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of Sourcing and the Travel industry. The Sourcing Specialist II will report to the Director, Sourcing & Procurement, DSE and sits in Orlando, FL.
What You Will Do/Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include client management, category management, and implementing sourcing solutions to support A&E. This role focuses on Request for Proposal (RFP)/ Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts sourcing initiatives while maintaining business performance.
Additional focus pertains to Contracting, Contract Writing, and driving Compliance.
The Sourcing Specialist will participate in cross-functional teams, developing strategic sourcing arrangements with suppliers and improving the various processes. This includes sourcing and negotiating supply relationships for internal clients, managing supplier relationships and conducting
total cost/supply analysis.
Assist with Annual Strategic Plan development; forecast and track projects. Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics in all Instances. Participate in professional development activities to keep abreast of current industry and travel best practices. Continually assess market conditions and develop
sourcing strategies that maximize value to the Company, evaluate supplier fit based on pre-determined selection criteria; prepare and execute clear, structured negotiations following pre-defined Strategic
Sourcing methodology.
Ensure compliance with Strategic Sourcing and policies and best practices Lead cross-functional sourcing projects that meet internal client’s requirements. Communicate and report to management the status of any critical external relationships that could affect planning and decision-making. Analyze marketing
industry trends and conditions that affect internal stakeholders and external suppliers and/or pricing Develop, implement, monitor and report status, performance measures that demonstrate value and
ensure supplier performance.
