This role is the Asia Specialist Sales Leader within Microsoft’s Technology for Social Impact (TSI) organization. Responsibilities include leading a team in driving cloud and AI solutions for social impact organizations, fostering innovation, and expanding Microsoft’s impact in Asia. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of technology sales/account management experience, 5+ years managing high-performing teams, and deep expertise in the Asian market. Technical expertise in Microsoft technologies (Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform) is crucial. The role demands strategic thinking, customer focus, and a proven ability to deliver results. Responsibilities also include building and managing a team, developing go-to-market strategies, and collaborating with C-suite executives in social impact organizations.

As the Asia Specialist Sales Leader within Microsoft’s Technology for Social Impact (TSI) organisation, you will drive transformative cloud and AI solutions to empower social impact organisations to achieve their missions. This position is responsible for leading the Asia team of dynamic specialist sellers and technologists, foster innovation, and expand Microsoft’s impact. Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

 

Education and Professional Background: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, or related field AND 8+ years technology-related sales or account management experience OR 9+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.

 

  • Leadership Excellence: 5+ years managing high-performing sales and technical teams with a proven track record of delivering results, supported by 10+ years of experience in sales and/or pre-sales roles.  
  • Asia Experience: Demonstrated expertise in the Asia market landscape, including cultural nuances and business dynamics, with a proven track record in technology-related sales and/or pre-sales leadership roles. 
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform, combined with the ability to drive cloud and AI adoption across social impact organisations. 

 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs) 

  • Strategic and Customer Focus: Proven ability to align sales and technology strategies with customer success outcomes and influence decision-makers at the C-suite level, ideally within social impact organisations 
  • Market and Execution Mastery: Experience in developing and executing scalable go-to-market strategies, leveraging partnerships to drive impact, industry and technology thought leadership and business growth. 
  • Passion for Social Impact: Demonstrated commitment to advancing societal and environmental outcomes through innovative technology solutions; advanced certifications in Microsoft technologies are a plus.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development 

  • Build a High-Performing Sales and Technical Specialist Team: Inspire and lead a team of sales and technical specialists to drive transformative outcomes for social impact organisations. 
  • Foster a Culture of Growth and Innovation: Create an environment that prioritises accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration across diverse skill sets, with an emphasis on leveraging the unique dynamics of the Asia region. 

Sales Strategy, Technology Guidance, and Execution 

  • Enable Strategic Cloud and AI Adoption: Lead your team to deliver impactful solutions across modern workplace, data & AI, infrastructure, and security workloads, aligned with social impact organisation business and technology goals. 
  • Drive Sales Excellence and Enable Technical Pre-Sales Success: Lead and coach both sales and technical specialists to deliver exceptional customer outcomes by aligning Microsoft’s advanced technologies with social impact organisations’ needs and transformative solutions. 

Customer and Partner Engagement 

  • Collaborate with C-Suite to Deliver Mission Outcomes: Build trusted relationships with social impact leaders to align their vision with Microsoft’s transformative technologies, leveraging experience dealing with diverse cultures and building strong customer relationships across Asia. 
  • Scale Impact Through a Mission-Aligned Partner Ecosystem: Strengthen and expand partnerships with global systems integrators, ISVs, and other collaborators to enhance solution delivery. 

Market Development and Innovation 

  • Shape the Technology Landscape for Social Impact: Enable the team to leverage deep market insights to uncover opportunities and deliver innovative AI and cloud solutions that drive measurable outcomes. 
  • Design and Execute Scalable Sales Strategies: Align social impact organisations’ needs with technology capabilities to expand Microsoft’s reach and impact in the social impact sector, ensuring a strong understanding of the Asia market’s unique challenges and opportunities. 
  • Scale Through Skilling: Scale team to drive adoption of AI and cloud solutions by integrating AI skilling initiatives to empower social impact organisations to achieve sustainable growth and long-term innovation. 

Operational Excellence 

  • Achieve Predictable Sales and Technical Outcomes: Drive team alignment with KPIs, revenue, consumption and scorecard goals, and customer success metrics through effective sales and technical execution. 
  • Build a Future-Ready Sales and Technical Workforce: Ensure continuous certification and skill development to support transformative solutions customer engagements, in line with the rapidly evolving Asia market landscape.
