Sr./Lead DevOps Engineer

Office hybrid in Mountain View, CA

We are looking for a dedicated and driven DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in AWS, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and security. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining various AWS solutions, handling search clusters, and ensuring the security and performance of our infrastructure.

Your Impact:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing solutions and scripts to set up and monitor the AWS stack. You will build and deploy CI/CD pipelines for Dev, Staging, and Prod deployments.

Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining CDK scripts for various AWS infrastructure components (i.e. Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SES etc). You will build infrastructure and set up performance test environments to ensure efficient system performance. Security is a critical aspect of this role, where you will own the SSM and tunneling infrastructure, perform monthly patching of AWS EC2 instances, and secure Jenkins and log servers. You will also run the observability stack and logging infrastructure. Lastly, you will address application tickets when the backlog increases, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Required Skills:

• A related technical degree required
• 5+ years of work experience in a DevOps or similar role
• Fluency in one or more scripting languages such as Python or Bash
• IaC experience with AWS CDK or CloudFormation
• Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins
• Experience with building and deploying applications and services using containers and orchestration services like Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
• Solid understanding of logging frameworks and APM tools
• Understanding of fundamental network technologies like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, SQL, HTTP
• Strong sense of security and ability to build and deploy secure cloud networks
• Knowledge of OO programming and concepts (Java)

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $165,600 to $265,200.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
