We are seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager to lead critical programs across Music Discovery, Web, and Mobile platforms. This role involves partnering with engineering, science, product, and design teams to plan and deliver core features for growth. You will bring strong, data-driven business and technical judgment, proactively communicate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to evolving company goals and responsibilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering customer-centric solutions at scale with a strong ownership mindset.
Must have:
  • Experience in technical program management, systems engineering, or software development
  • Ability to lead complex, cross-functional technical programs
  • Understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture, and API-based services
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies, SDLC, and program lifecycle planning
  • Ability to dive deep into technical details and drive trade-offs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision-making

We're looking for a seasoned Technical Program Manager to drive critical programs across our Music Discovery, Web and Mobile platforms, to connect new and emerging artists with their fans and help millions of listeners to discover music they love and can’t find anywhere else.  This is a high-impact role at the heart of our Fan engagement initiatives. 

As a TPM you will partner closely with engineering, science, product and design to plan and coordinate delivery of core features for the growth of SoundCloud. You will consistently bring strong, data-driven business and technical judgment to decisions. You will communicate proactively with other teams across the company to collaborate on cross-cutting topics. As the company and its goals evolve your role will change significantly. You are open for a change and eager to take new responsibilities as required.

Background & Experience:

  • Experience in technical program management, systems engineering, or software development in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional technical programs with global stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and API-based services
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, SDLC, and program lifecycle planning
  • Experience working with machine learning, recommendation systems, or ad-tech platforms is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to dive deep into technical details and drive trade-offs with engineers and product managers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to influence up, down, and across organizations
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision-making – comfortable with SQL, metrics dashboards, and A/B testing frameworks
  • Passion for delivering customer-centric solutions at scale, with a strong ownership mindset
