As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with Program and Engineering managers to develop video experiences for the Disney Streaming platform. You will also serve as the interface between Product and other Engineering teams, participating in coordination, alignment, road mapping, and the seamless delivery of best-in-class consumer applications. You will help ensure our teams are aligned with the product roadmap and deliver high-quality consumer applications for all of our products. You will be responsible for developing a roadmap for the team and keeping it in line with the priorities defined by product. You will execute on several projects concurrently, with a remote & distributed Engineering team, while balancing competing priorities. You will facilitate and solidify project processes by creating, managing, and updating documentation. You will keep stakeholders informed of day-to-day project statuses, updates, and risks. You will cultivate relationships across engineering and technical teams while serving directly as the end-to-end liaison. You will identify solution paths for competing requirements while managing stakeholder preferences. You will demonstrate product knowledge, and facilitate the development of requirements in consideration of known technical capabilities and limitations. You will work with backend and service teams to establish the needs of your team, continually communicate risks to all stakeholders, and facilitate discussions to help remove blockers.
Must have:
  • 3+ years experience as a Project Manager managing large scale projects
  • Technical literacy
  • Proficient understanding of technical architecture and workflow
  • Experience running a consumer application development project
  • Knowledge of project management processes including Agile, Kanban, Waterfall
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills

Job Summary:

As a Technical Project Manager you’ll be responsible for partnering with Program and Engineering managers who are developing the video experiences for the Disney Streaming platform. You’ll also function as the interface between Product and other Engineering teams, participating in coordination, alignment, road mapping, and the overall seamless delivery of best-in-class consumer applications. You will help ensure our teams are aligned with the product roadmap and deliver best-in-class consumer applications for all of our products.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience as a Project Manager managing large scale projects
  • Have technical literacy in order to be able to follow technical discussions and absorb technical documentation
  • Proficient understanding of technical architecture and workflow for system/domain of the team(s) and identify potential impacts to components of those systems based on requirements
  • Experience running a consumer application development project through the entire SDLC
  • Knowledge of project management processes including Agile, Kanban, Waterfall
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required


The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $104,600.00 to $140,200.00 per year and in Seattle, WA is $107,400.00 to $143,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
