We’re looking to hire a Technical Writer for a leading video game company. A globally renowned gaming leader that combines cutting-edge innovation with a collaborative, inclusive culture, empowering creators to shape iconic, immersive gaming experiences.
You’ll join the Technical Writing team to support Player Support product innovation and enhance player help experiences. This is a 7-2 month of contract opportunity. The role is fully remote.
Technical Writer Responsibilities:
Gathering business requirements from the ATVI product team to define and author comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements.
Work with Player Support product teams to establish approved wireframes and mock-up solutions for UI/UX initiatives.
Assist Player Support product group manage the entire lifecycle of a product from its conception to release.
Work with our Player Support Product, Design, Engineering, and Production teams to execute various technology solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within our Publishing.
Helps establish acceptance criteria for the project test strategy and test plans.
Attend stand-ups, grooming sessions, estimation meetings, retrospectives, and other product meetings with key stakeholders on a regular basis.
Clearly communicate product requirements, scope, benefits, and results as appropriate to various levels of the business.
Technical Writer Requirements:
3-4+ years of experience writing functional, non-functional, technical requirements for software products.
Proficient in writing documentation for business and technical workflows, structuring requirement documents and documenting complex specifications.
Background in computer science or data science undergraduate degree or other technical degree is a plus.
Proven track record of delivering on time and meeting organizational commitments.
Experience working with third party services, APIs, and content management systems
Experience with Salesforce, Help-shift, AEM, and cloud solutions is a plus.
Background in customer service is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills:
Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
Strong facilitation, presentation, and reporting skills is a plus
Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical to various audiences.
Knowledge of software development practices and data center / infrastructure / virtualization / networking / compute / storage / databases technologies.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
Experience with Agile software product development.
Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
Hands on experience with Jira, Confluence, or related project management tools a plus.
