Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Manager is to oversee daily work flow in the warehouse using established procedures to achieve optimum efficiency and accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to, inventory control, employee leadership, and safety and security. This position is located in Mississauga, ON.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day warehouse operations with a focus on efficiency and accomplishing daily shipment tasks and goals

  • Manages, directs, and trains warehouse employees

  • Provides effective and regular communication to warehouse employees including goals, opportunities for improvement, and key focus areas

  • Assists with warehouse employee hiring, disciplinary measures, and termination

  • Maintains stringent inventory and shipping accuracy

  • Handles organizing, labeling, packaging and shipping products

  • Receives products and stocks shelves

  • Monitors inventory 

  • Prepares shipments

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat

  • Complies with procedures, rules, and regulations

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Manages opening and closing of the building and associated responsibilities

  • Assists Operations Team with all operation endeavors including ordering, managing email accounts, organizing and reconciling invoices and payments, customer service opportunities, shipment reconciliations, managing unfulfillable inventory, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Ability to effectively manage and accomplish multiple tasks

  • Strong leadership and training skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Accurate and detail oriented

  • Willing to take and follow directions

  • Good manual and physical dexterity

  • Organized, hardworking, dependable, and punctual

Physical Demands

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Able to stand for long periods

  • Able to stoop, bend, and reach

  • Manual Dexterity: Typing or otherwise working primarily with hands or fingers in an office environment.

  • Sedentary work: Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, including computers, papers, and other general office equipment. 

  • Seeing: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. 

  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word in activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately.

  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, by phone or in person.

Shift information

Shift is Monday through Friday, regular working hours
