The Academic Manager – Performing Arts will be responsible for overseeing the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Performing Arts curriculum (including music, dance, drama, and theater) for all grades. The role requires ensuring the highest quality of artistic education while fostering a vibrant and creative environment for students. The manager will collaborate with the faculty, administration, and external stakeholders to provide opportunities for student development in the arts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development & Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive performing arts curriculum for students across all levels (pre-primary, primary, middle, and high school).
- Ensure alignment with academic standards and integrate performing arts with other academic subjects when appropriate.
2.Teacher Development & Supervision:
- Lead and mentor performing arts teachers in the execution of lesson plans, classroom management, and student engagement.
- Provide professional development opportunities and conduct teacher training sessions.
- Evaluate teacher performance and provide feedback to ensure high teaching standards.
3.Student Development:
- Oversee student performances and extracurricular activities in the performing arts.
- Develop programs and initiatives that encourage student participation in the performing arts
4.Collaboration & Event Management:
- Coordinate with other academic departments and administrators to plan interdisciplinary events and programs.
- Organize school-wide performances, exhibitions, and cultural festivals to showcase students' talents.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Performing Arts, Music, Dance, Drama, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in teaching or managing performing arts in an educational institution, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in managing performing arts.
- Ability to inspire creativity and foster a love for the arts in students.
Preferred skills:
- Experience working in schools with arts-focused curriculums.
