Job Description

This Account Manager role at Google focuses on Retail Marketplaces and Groceries, managing key client activity to maximize performance and ROI. Responsibilities include implementing and delivering client projects, partnering with cross-functional teams, positioning Google's AI solutions, analyzing data and consumer insights to create strategic plans, and developing a robust business pipeline. The ideal candidate possesses experience in advertising, consultative sales, or a related field, along with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Fluency in German and English is required for client relationship management. The role involves working with large advertisers to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. The team advises clients on Google's range of products to help them connect with their audiences.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Consultative sales & account management experience
  • Strategic thinking & problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in German and English

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in an advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in consultative sales and account management.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues and develop recommendations and action plans.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Independent, motivated, and capable of seeking additional business development opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate in German and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation and delivery of a portfolio of key client activity, maximizing in-quarter performance, return on investment, and identifying opportunities to expand that align with the Customers’ Business Objectives.
  • Partner with fellow account team members and a diverse set of cross-functional partners (e.g., gTech, International Growth team, Product Specialists) to drive business opportunities that build long-term growth.
  • Be able to position Google’s AI solutions effectively and challenge media mix investments.
  • Analyze data trends and consumer insights to develop solid strategic plans and prepare compelling narratives to drive growth.
  • Plan, develop, activate, and maintain a pipeline that helps you run your business and maximize business impact.
