Summary

AVER seeks a Business Analyst to provide data-driven operational support and process improvement. Responsibilities include identifying inefficiencies, documenting business requirements and process flows, recommending improvements, working with developers and stakeholders, reviewing content, coordinating data standardization, designing data visualizations, and providing PMO support. The ideal candidate will have experience with MS Suite, process improvement, data analysis, and stakeholder communication. The role involves supporting a government agency and requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. This position is remote, but local to the DMV area is preferred.

Description

 AVER is a fast-growing SDVOSB that has achieved significant revenue growth over the past 5 plus years with much of our work focused on Data Analytics, Mission Support, IT Modernization and Biometrics. AVER is seeking a Business Analyst to provide technical data-driven operational support and process improvement methodologies to assist stakeholders with identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities and supporting the Government’s activities in establishing and coordinating outreach programs and stakeholder partnerships. Join a collaborative team who values AVER’s mission, focus, and culture of delivering exceptional client service with great people and transformative technology solutions that ensure Government mission success.

Responsibilities Include: 
  • Identify inefficiencies in business processes and develop solutions for improvement
  • Taking the lead, creating detailed documentation, including business requirement and process flows, recommending improvements to management processes based on data.
  • Working with developers and stakeholders to identify details and requirements to create workflows and visualizations.
  • Reviewing and editing content (i.e. Word documents, Briefings, etc.) to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality and ensuring documents are in proper format
  • Coordinate with divisions in standardizing and optimizing the way data/information is stored and retrieved.
  • Work with the clients to design and develop metrics to capture and present data visualizations
  • Provide PMO analytical and operational support to include analysis of business processes, functions, and procedures to determine the most effective business processes to meet the needs of the organization and assist in business process redesign and documentation as needed.
  • Analyze business and industry data and other key metrics using data analytics tools
  • Document and maintain knowledge management repositories to include but not be limited by internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assessment scheduling and prioritization processes, and other process improvements
  • Logging, maintain, and tracking data and products in a ticketing platform such as ServiceNow or SharePoint 
Education Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree
Experience Requirements:  
  • Experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability to improve processes and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ability to analyze, capture and present data to support decision-making
  • Analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience with data-driven decision-making
  • Ability to create and maintain documentation such as business requirements and process flows
  • Experience facilitating communication between stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned on project goals and progress
Desired Requirements:
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity terminology and technologies
  • Prior experience supporting federal government customers
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with Knowledge Management
  • Experience with SharePoint 
Location:
  • REMOTE (Local to DMV) 
Security Requirements:     
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust)
  • This role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship
