ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Business Analyst (Payments, Risk and Fraud) at LeoVegas, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving payment processes, solutions and strategies. This role involves closely collaborating with internal teams to streamline payment flows, optimize transaction processes, and drive innovations in payments.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will be part of the Data and Analytics department, working closely with the Payments, Risk and Fraud, Business Intelligence, and Data Engineering Teams to ensure alignment with our business objectives.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
● Analyze current payment processes and identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation.
● Recommend and implement enhancements to payment workflows, reducing costs and improving turnaround times.
● Ensure payment solutions adhere to financial regulations, data protection standards, and industry best practices.
● Analyze transaction data to provide insights into payment trends, fraud risks, and user behavior.
● Document your work via Jira (using the provided framework)
● Contribute to additional knowledge and improvements through documentation in Confluence and Atlan.
● Propose new analytical methods to understand how our KPIs interact and impact business growth.
● Identify and implement process efficiencies & automation improvements.
● Collaborate with other business analysts and the data and analytics team to improve data communication and understanding across the company.
● Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making.
● Responsible for ad hoc analysis/projects that are complex in nature and present to management, on occasions, with recommendations.
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
● Strong academic background – MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Marketing or other relevant fields. Relevant strong work experience would be considered in lieu of academic background.
● Experience working in a regulatory/compliance environment, iGaming compliance is a plus
● Strong background in working with regulatory frameworks (iGaming preferred, but experience in banking/financial, legal, government, or other regulatory environments could qualify).
● Proficiency in collecting data from various sources, conducting thorough analysis, and deriving actionable insights.
● Understanding of how data models work and integrate.
● Ability to convey complex analytical findings in an understandable manner.
● A structured and service-oriented mindset.
● Eagerness to continuously improve and grow within your career.
● Fluent in English.
NICE TO HAVE
● Whilst not a prerequisite, candidates with experience with Data Modelling, R, Python, SQL, Google Analytics, Tableau, and those who have worked in iGaming, Legal, or Compliance, will be given preference.
