Job Description

As Business Development Director, you will be responsible for sourcing mobile F2P games with promising early metrics from Korea and SEAP to be published globally. You will lead business development initiatives, work with local partners, build relationships with developers, and identify partnership opportunities. You will also coordinate between the Senior Management team and partners, monitor business performance, analyze business cases, and coordinate cross-functional teams. The role requires someone who is enthusiastic about the gaming and entertainment industry with a focus on delivering results.
Must Have:
  • 5+ years of experience in the local mobile games industry.
  • Well-connected within the mobile gaming industry network in Korea and SEAP.
  • Fluency in Korean and English.
  • Experience in business development, game publishing, and M&A.
  • Demonstrate strategic vision and in-depth knowledge.
  • Effective team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Have a Growth Mindset.

As Business Development Director, you will be responsible for sourcing mobile F2P games with promising early metrics from Korea and SEAP (South East Asia and Pacific) region to be published globally (excluding Korea and SEAP) or in Western market.

The ideal candidate will be based in Korea.

You will:
  • Be the first point of contact and independently lead all business development initiatives in Korea and SEAP for Sandsoft
  • Work closely with our local partners to connect with opportunities in relation to games publishing, IP and studio acquisition in the region
  • Build relationships with the local game developers and publishers and identify opportunities for partnerships
  • Be responsible for all coordination between the Senior Management team and the chosen partner
  • Integrate internal and external resources to support Sandsoft and realize synergies
  • Monitor business and financial performances with Senior Management team
  • Carry out in-depth analysis of business cases and partners to support management decision-making
  • Coordinate cross functional teams

To be successful in the role you need:
  • At least 5 years of experience in the local mobile games industry
  • To be well-connected within the mobile gaming industry network in Korea and SEAP
  • Fluency in Korean and English
  • Work experience in business development, game publishing, and M&A
  • Be enthusiastic about the gaming and entertainment industry
  • To demonstrate strategic vision, business insights, and in-depth knowledge, with a focus on delivering results
  • To be an effective team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • To show a Growth Mindset: having a learning attitude, problem-solving and decision-making approach
