This is an Internship opportunity with Philips. You will be part of a team working on innovation, teamwork, and integrity. You will be tracking product functionality, maintaining, and enhancing testing infrastructure. Cultivate effective working relationships with other test team members, software architects, and developers. Maintain and enhance testing infrastructure, integrating new tools and technologies in a continuously evolving environment.
Must have:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Understanding of server/client base application and environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Detail oriented with ability to understand complex software applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter, willing and able to quickly learn new applications and technologies.
Good to have:
  • Experience in testing highly critical real-time applications via automation.
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile process/workflow.
  • Experienced in converting functional requirements into Gherkin tests.
  • Experienced developing and executing functional test suites.
  • Experience with embedded device testing.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, Cisco equipment and configurations, routing and switching.
  • Understanding of 802.11 technologies and standards.
  • Understanding of wireless technologies including 802.11 WLAN.
  • Knowledge of traffic analysis tools to support product network analysis.

Co-op - Software Test Engineer - May - December 2025- Cambridge, MA 

Are you interested in an Internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree  to participate in paid intern opportunities. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company. 


 

Your role: 

You will be part of an established team committed to innovation and contribution, trust and respect, teamwork and uncompromising integrity. Cultivate effective working relationships with other test team members, software architects and developers. Track new product functionality. Maintain and enhance testing infrastructure, integrating new tools and technologies in a continuously evolving environment.

You're the right fit if:  

  • Bachelors or Masters degree Candidate in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or relevant equivalent technical experience
  • Understanding of server/client base application and environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, cross-discipline environment
  • Detail oriented with ability to understand and assess a complex software application or scenario with particular focus on the development and execution of comprehensive test scripts or protocols and defect (failure mode) detection
  • Experience with Microsoft© Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Self-starter, willing and able to quickly learn new applications and technologies

Desired Qualifications (Technical):

  • Experienced in testing highly critical real-time large-scale distributed client-server applications (preferably healthcare) via automation.
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile process/workflow.
  • Experienced in converting functional requirements into Gherkin tests
  • Experienced developing and executing functional test suites
  • Experience with embedded device testing
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, Cisco equipment and configurations, routing and switching
  • Understanding of 802.11 technologies and standards
  • Understanding of wireless technologies including 802.11 WLAN
  • Knowledge of traffic analysis tools (Wireless & Wired) to support product network analysis

Philips Transparency Details  

 

The hourly pay range for this position is $30.00-46.00, plus overtime eligible.  The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
