Job Description

The Commerce Specialist, Large Customer Sales role at Google focuses on driving commerce business growth within the Southeast Asian market for large marketplaces. Responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive product strategies, working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve client business objectives, leading complex sales engagements, and advancing customer adoption of Google's commerce offerings (Performance Max, Standard Shopping campaigns, etc.). This involves deep market research, collaboration across teams (sales, marketing, engineering), and a strong understanding of Google's commerce products and their integration with other campaign types. The role requires fluent English communication and experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, and advanced bidding strategies.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in digital advertising/sales
  • Experience launching/scaling products
  • Profit-based bidding & conversion optimization expertise
  • Fluent English communication
  • Drive commerce business growth in SEA
Good to have:
  • Google Merchant Center knowledge
  • Technical team collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in digital advertising, consultative sales, digital media sales, business development, online media environment, or digital marketing role.
  • Experience in launching and scaling successful products in diverse markets.
  • Experience with profit-based bidding and conversion optimization utilizing cart data or equivalent advanced bidding strategies.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to partner with internal stakeholders and clients across the Southeast Asian market.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Google merchant center, including advanced feed optimization or similar platforms.
  • Ability to partner with technical teams to deliver complex solutions for customers.
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.

As a Commerce Specialist, you will partner with key internal and external stakeholders to define account level commerce strategies as a vehicle to achieve clients business objectives. You will lead and own complex pre-sale, sale, closing and execution engagements and take responsibility for advancing customers feature and product adoption of Google's commerce offerings that span Performance Max for retail, Performance Max for marketplace, Standard Shopping campaigns, Performance Max campaign (PMax) for store goals to have a strong point of view on how these core commerce products would work with other campaign types like Demand Generation and Search Max.

We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Drive commerce business for South East Asia (SEA) largest marketplaces and continuously innovate for additional growth.
  • Drive better together and the new performance narrative to make sure our core commerce products work well for the customers across all of their marketing objectives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy tailored to the unique needs and issues of the Southeast Asian market.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and other teams to ensure seamless product development, launch, and adoption.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and engaged landscape in each Southeast Asian country.
