The Opportunity

• Lead and mentor a team of developers focused on building our “core systems” applications that form the foundation of our trading system. These cover ares such as exchange connectivity, PnL calculations, middle office functionality and token transfers
• Design and implement robust, high-performance trading applications while balancing priorities such as time to market and required features
• Collaborate with trading teams to understand and meet their connectivity requirements
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our “core systems” trading applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity issues in a fast-paced trading environment
• Set team strategy, plan workloads and act as the conduit connecting business priorities with team outcomes

Who you are

• Extensive experience in software development (ideally gained in a top tier HFT firm), especially working on highly performant, complex backend systems, microservices architectures and database interactions
• Strong knowledge of exchange APIs, websockets, and low-latency communication protocols
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages (C++ and Python required, Typescript beneficial)
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Deep experience building systems that sustain high levels of performance while dealing with massive loads of data
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting
