Job Description

This Cross-Google Partner Manager role requires fluency in English and Japanese to support clients. Responsibilities include building and maintaining external partner relationships, identifying mutually beneficial opportunities leveraging Google's services and AI, strengthening partnerships through cross-Google collaboration and executive engagement, managing existing agreements, and working with cross-functional teams to launch and scale new features. The ideal candidate possesses 12+ years of experience working with C-level executives and across management levels, strong communication and influencing skills, and the ability to identify and structure business deals. The role focuses on utilizing Google's product suite and AI solutions to help partners achieve long-term growth within the dynamic technology landscape.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to engage and support English and Japanese speaking clients.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • Experience managing complex partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

In this role, you will be creative, collaborative, constantly connecting the dots, future-aware, and comfortable in influencing without authority. You will study and use Google's ever growing suite of capabilities and industry AI solutions to help partners in the long-term.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships with partners and across the ecosystem, and manage strategic partnerships with entities of all sizes.
  • Identify and apply insights across partners, Google’s services, relevant industries, and emerging AI technology to strategically identify plays that create mutual value for Google teams and for partners.
  • Strengthen partner relationships and drive cross-Google alignment by executing Cross-Google joint business plans, executive engagement coordination and briefings, and AI focused summits. 
  • Serve as the relationship manager for our current existing agreements. Help realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building effective long-term relationships.
  • Engage with several internal cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to incubate, launch, improve, and scale new features and user experiences across markets and functional areas.
