About the job:
As a Customer Engineer, you will regularly answer questions about technical features, help customers design architectures, engage in proof-of-concepts, and troubleshoot potential roadblocks related to database migration and data back-ends. You will make recommendations on the integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure needed to implement a complete solution providing advice to customers to optimize Google Cloud Platform effectiveness. You will also support technical relationships with customers, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination and prioritization of solutions impacting customer adoption of Google Cloud. You will prepare and deliver product messaging in an effort to highlight the Google Cloud Platform value proposition, using techniques that include whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, and Request For Information (RFI) response documents. You will support local Sales teams in pursuit of key business opportunities and engage customers to address aspects of the data lifecycle.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in planning infrastructure modernization
  • Experience in cloud migration, data center migration, disaster recovery, virtualization, application/servers assessment, or discovery.
  • Ability to communicate in Korean fluently
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with deployment methodologies and technologies (e.g., CI/CD, Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
  • Experience with developing scalable architectures using API management, microservice frameworks (e.g., Spring Cloud, Istio), container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Docker), and networking concepts (e.g., routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls).
  • Experience with helping customers design and build applications using open source or cloud-native databases.
  • Knowledge of VMware technology stack (e.g., vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, etc.)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in planning infrastructure modernization as a technical consultant, technical pre-sales engineer, or enterprise architect.
  • Experience in cloud migration, data center migration, disaster recovery, virtualization, application/servers assessment, or discovery.
  • Ability to communicate in Korean fluently to interact in this customer-facing role.
