What you’ll do:
- Platform Vision & Strategy: Lead the development of a compelling, forward-looking vision for our data platform. Identify user pain points, emerging technologies, industry trends and innovative approaches to transform how we collect, process, and leverage data
- Roadmap Development: Create and champion a comprehensive roadmap that balances immediate needs with long-term strategic platform evolution. Define clear milestones for platform maturity and capabilities advancement
- Priority Management: Navigate and balance competing business demands, making strategic decisions on prioritization. Ensure that the most impactful tasks are addressed first while maintaining flexibility to adapt to evolving needs
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Act as the key liaison between the data platform team and diverse stakeholders, making sure there is alignment between platform capabilities and business objectives
- Data Literacy & Enablement: Lead initiatives to educate analysts and business users on platform capabilities. Create and implement training programs to increase data literacy across the organization
- Data-Driven Culture: Champion and foster a data-driven approach throughout the company. Develop and promote best practices and policies for data usage and governance
- Platform Visibility & Advocacy: Elevate the profile and perceived value of the data platform through compelling demonstrations, success stories, and clear articulation of its business impact and metrics
- Platform Evolution: Continuously assess opportunities to enhance platform capabilities; introduce new approaches that keep our data infrastructure at the forefront of industry standards
- Simplifying Complexity: Translate technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders. Build support for complex technical initiatives by articulating their strategic importance
What you need to succeed:
- Experience in product ownership or management in data or related fields
- A strategic mindset with ability to create and communicate compelling technical visions
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies and the modern data stack
- A track record of successfully helping technical platforms or products evolve
- Strong roadmap management and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience promoting data literacy and best practices
- A passion for fostering data-driven culture and decision making
