The Energy & Power Practice Leader will lead the Energy and Power (E&P) division at Marsh, based in Kuala Lumpur. This hybrid role involves enhancing insurance expertise and data-driven insights to help clients. Responsibilities include directing service to clients, overseeing client relationships, and networking with senior executives. The role also involves strategizing placements, coordinating risk management, performing Lender’s Insurance Advisory, and managing budgets. The leader will also co-manage personnel decisions for the practice.

Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to lead our Energy and Power (E&P) division at Marsh. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You can expect to be part of a diligent division where you will enhance your insurance expertise and data-driven insights to help clients build resilience through a comprehensive approach. There will be opportunities to collaborate with diverse colleagues and stakeholders across various lines of business within Marsh McLennan.

We will count on you to:

  • Works with various Marsh resources, such as client industry, specialty, placement, and client consulting groups, for the benefit of clients and prospects.  Directs service to existing clients.
  • Oversees client relationships to ensure client satisfaction through distinguished service delivery and customized solutions. 
  • Networks among the senior level executives of clients and prospects in order to become known as the one ultimately responsible for the account.
  • Works closely with regional sales group.  Assigns client executives to the appropriate prospects. 
  • Works closely with Energy & Power placements to strategize and structure placement appropriately, innovatively and economically for the clients.
  • Coordinating Risk Assessment, Risk Survey, Risk Register and overall Risk Management in the manner required by Specialty clients in accordance to PMBOK and ISO 31000.
  • Ability to perform Lender’s Insurance Advisory (LIA)/Consulting role with PEMA and independently manage the entire life-cycle of the LIA.
  • Well versed with advancements of Energy & Power Technologies amongst OEMs
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets, with a focus on profitability and revenue maximization.
  • Co-manages all personnel decisions of the practice, including staffing, compensation, performance measurement, career development, and training.

  • Proven experience in general management, preferably within the insurance or energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets, with a focus on profitability and revenue maximization.
