We are seeking a dynamic and creative Engagement Director for our BFSI Governance Services team to manage and grow services for a large BFSI enterprise client. This role involves overseeing IT Managed Services, BPO, consulting, and supplier management, with a focus on retirement and investment management solutions. You will be the onsite point of contact, managing client relationships, ensuring service delivery, identifying growth opportunities, and participating in governance forums. Responsibilities include complex negotiations, market analysis, and providing domain expertise in financial services, including retirement, investment, and insurance. You will also train new team members on client requirements and compliance.
Must have:
  • 20+ years in IT outsourcing/managed services
  • Extensive financial services domain knowledge
  • Strong client relations and vendor management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Good to have:
  • Expertise in BPO environments
  • Knowledge of retirement, financial planning, insurance
  • Awareness of industry regulations and compliance
  • MBA or advanced degree desirable

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to join our Governance Services team as the Engagement Director for a large BFSI enterprise client. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective management, delivery and growth of ISG services within the account. As a key player in our team, you will leverage your expertise in IT Managed Services, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), consulting solutions, and supplier management services along with a deep understanding of financial solutions, including retirement and investment management, to foster strong relationships with stakeholders and oversee operational efficiencies. You will serve as the onsite point of contact and provide overall account oversight. Your ability to navigate industry complexities will empower clients to achieve their strategic objectives.
 
Responsibilities 
 
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and ongoing account management.
  • Service Delivery Oversight: Champion the delivery of services by providing overall delivery oversight and ensuring compliance with contractual commitments and governance practices.
  • Account Growth: Identify opportunities for account growth by understanding client needs and proposing additional services, leading to enhanced client satisfaction and mutual value creation.
  • Governance Forums Participation: Engage in governance forums, offering valuable insights and facilitating follow-up meetings to ensure effective implementation of discussed strategies.
  • Complex Negotiation & Advisory: Provide expert guidance on supplier contractual commitments & negotiations while collaborating with the team on sourcing agreements and vendor management challenges.
  • Market Insights & Adaptation: Remain informed on industry developments and best practices to enhance service delivery and align with client needs.
  • Domain Knowledge: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of financial services, particularly in areas such as retirement plan management, investment management, and insurance solutions. Familiarity with regulatory compliance, risk management, and customer-focused delivery in the financial sector will be critical to aligning with client objectives and enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Training & Development: Conduct training sessions for new team members, ensuring familiarity with client requirements, security protocols, and compliance standards.
Required Skillsets
  • This a remote role based in the US; may require travel of up to 40%.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in IT outsourcing or managed services, with proven expertise in BPO environments advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of the financial services domain, including retirement solutions, financial planning, and insurance products, with a keen awareness of industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong background in client relations, vendor management, and service delivery within complex contracts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of interacting confidently with senior executives and clients.
 
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required
  • MBA or another advanced degree (s) desirable
