Job Description

As a Field Service Technician at Tesla, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of energy storage and supercharging networks in Finland and internationally as needed. Your daily tasks will involve traveling to various sites, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, conducting root-cause analyses (both remotely and on-site), and managing stakeholder relationships. You will act as the primary contact for contractors, identify and prevent recurring problems, and provide feedback to engineering teams. Organizational responsibilities include planning and preparing your own technical activities. This role requires expertise in electrical engineering, particularly low- and medium-voltage systems (high-voltage experience is a plus), and a passion for renewable energy. The ideal candidate is independent, proactive, a strong communicator, and comfortable with extensive travel.

Must have:

Experience as an electrical technician
Low/Medium voltage system knowledge
Troubleshooting & root cause analysis
Excellent communication skills
Proactive and independent work style
Fluency in Finnish and English

Good to have:

High voltage system experience

What to Expect

As a Field Service Technician in our Energy and Charging Field Service team, you will play a vital role in making sure both our Renewable Energy Storage products and our Superchargers are operating at their best. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be travelling to sites and perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repairs along with commissioning activities across various locations within Finland. What You’ll Do

Perform all on-site technical activities: related to the installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance of our Energy storage and Supercharging network in Finland and abroad when needed
Troubleshoot and perform root - cause analysis, both remotely and on-site
Stakeholder managment - act as the first point of contact to contractors
Prevent recurring issues and provide feedback to the engineering teams
Organizational tasks, like preparing, organizing, and planning your own technical activities

What You’ll Bring

Experience as a technician in the electrical engineering field
Experience with Low- and Medium Voltage electrical systems, High Voltage is a plus
A passion for renewable energy
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, motivated and a proactive attitude
Flexible towards travelling
Fluency in Finish and a good command of English
An EU passport or work permit is needed for this position
