Job Description

Wargaming seeks talented Gameplay Developers to contribute to World of Tanks' development across its technological stack. Responsibilities include creating new game modes and logic, developing high-performance in-game components, improving the existing technology stack, working with various services (payment systems, analytics, etc.), and ensuring functionality through testing. The role involves addressing interesting challenges within a large-scale project infrastructure. Both mid-level and senior developers are sought.

Must have:

Commercial software development experience
Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
C++ and/or Python development experience
Design patterns knowledge
Asynchronous/multithreaded application development
Understanding of CPU and memory principles
Basic computer networks knowledge

Good to have:

Web application development (frontend, backend)
Database and message broker familiarity
Distributed systems experience
Passion for computer games
Gamedev experience

Job Overview

Wargaming is inviting talented Gameplay Developers who are ready to learn a lot, take responsibility for the result of their work and meet the expectations of our players together with us. In our team you will have to solve interesting tasks related to the development of World of Tanks on the whole technological stack.

What will you do?

Participate in the creation of new game modes and logic on the game client
Develop high performance (in terms of memory and execution time) in-game components
Improve and develop the existing technology stack
Work with dozens of additional services and applications that make up the large-scale infrastructure of our project (payment systems, authorization systems, analytical data warehouses, etc.)
Cover the functionality with tests

What are we looking for?

Experience in commercial software development
Strong knowledge of basic data structures and algorithms
Development experience in C++ and/or Python
Knowledge of design patterns
Experience in developing asynchronous/multithreaded applications
Knowledge of CPU and memory principles (RAM, ROM, cache, virtual memory, swap file, etc.)
Knowledge of the basics of computer networks

What additional skills will help you stand out?

Experience in web applications development (frontend, backend)
Familiarity with databases, message brokers
Experience of working with distributed systems
Passion for computer games
Gamedev experience

Work mode

Hybrid (3 days of work from the office)

The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 3030 - 6650 monthly gross. [We are looking for both mid-level and senior developers]
