Job Description

The Head of Agency Sales, Large Customer Sales at Google is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key agency decision-makers. This role involves developing and executing long-term digital strategies, optimizing advertising investments, and driving product adoption. The successful candidate will guide cross-functional Google teams, identify business partnership opportunities, and lead negotiations of media agreements. They will also manage a team of Agency Leads/Account Managers, fostering growth across the agency portfolio and bringing thought leadership to product development based on market insights. The role requires deep expertise in digital marketing, advertising sales, and agency partnerships, along with strong leadership and analytical skills. The position demands a comprehensive understanding of Google's Ad Solutions, video advertising, and the overall brand media landscape.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Experience working or partnering with Agencies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • Experience in building integrated campaigns for global brands and leading teams to achieve results.
  • Experience with communications or brand planning, and media planning and buying, with knowledge across media platforms.
  • Experience with leadership in sales/operations management, planning, and systems thinking, with the ability to align strategies and deliver customer business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Google Ad Solutions, video advertising (e.g., AI-powered Performance, CTV, AI-powered Video), and the key performer landscape across traditional and digital brand media advertising.

We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $195,000-$275,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build and support long-term relationships with decision makers at Agency to be able to build and carry out long-term digital strategies and optimize their advertising investments, and work together to drive product adoption and growth.
  • Provide guidance to a cross-functional set of Google teams on the subjective, trends, opportunities, and tests of agencies and implications for clients.
  • Create, identify, and execute business partnership opportunities, including leadership of cross-functional teams in the discussion of media agreements, and set and drive business strategy, business growth, and product adoption for agencies across product categories.
  • Develop and help drive sales, implementation, and growth to develop and bring thought leadership and transformational ideas to products based on market feedback and insights.
  • Manage a team of Agency Leads/Account Managers responsible for driving growth across the portfolio of agencies.
