At Pentair, the Lead Graphic & Multimedia Designer will drive creative design, graphics, and multimedia content to support business objectives and build brand equity across omnichannel marketing. This role involves setting creative art direction, designing various print, digital, and video projects from concept to production, and ensuring brand consistency. The designer will manage assets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior designers, and stay updated on design best practices, continuously optimizing creative output based on feedback and data.
Must have:

  • Designs and develops a wide range of print, digital and video creative projects.
  • Responsible for creativity from concept to production, translating ideas into action.
  • Coordinates with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
  • Serves as SME and advisor, partnering with internal cross-functional team members, and mentoring junior designers.
  • Process, upload, and maintain final graphic and video assets.
  • Works closely with content and brand on creative briefs.
  • Execute editing for video, photography and other multimedia as needed.
  • Stay ahead of creative design best practices.
  • Work closely with the brand team to maintain and uphold brand standards.
  • Actively seek internal and external feedback on creative and keep a pulse on competitive creative.
  • Has a continuous improvement mindset, using data, A/B testing results and VOC to optimize creative and design.
  • Use established project management systems to enhance collaboration, manage assets, and maintain visibility of project workflows.
  • Helps build and contribute to optimizing and standardizing processes.

We have an opportunity for a Lead Graphic & Multimedia Designer to join our Charlotte, NC team. You will be responsible for creative design, graphics and multimedia visual content that supports business objectives and builds brand equity with customers across omnichannel marketing touchpoints. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude and curiosity for design with a solid understanding of how creative design elements impact the overall brand and message, while driving execution in a matrixed organization.

You will:

  • Sets creative art direction and ensures consistency with brand standards and across all touchpoints for the Pool Business
  • Designs and develops a wide range of print, digital and video creative projects; including but not limited to layouts for literature and catalogs, direct mail design, media campaigns (display, social), packaging, iconography, website graphics, email banners, tradeshow booth signage, animated gifs, and brand and product videos
  • Responsible for creativity from concept to production overseeing and independently working to translate ideas into action, working through feedback and revisions to serve up the final deliverables.
  • Coordinates with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc. as needed.
  • Serves as SME and advisor, partnering with internal cross-functional team members, and mentoring more junior designers.
  • Process, upload, and maintain final graphic and video assets including source and production files, images, and tags for platforms such as Pentair’s Digital Asset Management System, BigTinCan, YouTube, etc.
  • Works closely with content and brand on creative briefs, providing feedback, questions, and opportunities to achieve the best outcome for deliverables, and the business.
  • Execute editing for video, photography and other multimedia as needed.
  • Stay ahead of creative design best practices by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Work closely with the brand team to maintain and uphold brand standards, visual brand language, voice, and tone, and become an advocate for the brand.
  • Actively seek internal and external feedback on creative and keep a pulse on competitive creative to continuously improve and evolve.
  • Has a continuous improvement mindset, using data, A/B testing results and VOC to optimize creative and design.
  • Use established project management systems to enhance collaboration, manage assets, and maintain visibility of project workflows.
  • Helps build and contribute to optimizing and standardizing processes such as project requests, briefs, files, and drive organization, etc. to drive more effective productivity, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Charlotte area preferred.
  • Travel required: Up to 10%
  • Perform other duties, as required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent advanced degree in graphic design, multimedia production or a related field
  • 8- 10 years of relevant experience in graphic design and multimedia
  • Strong eye for visual composition and high attention to detail
  • Team player with strong project management, communication, presentation, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and execute efficiently, on time and on budget.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Video Production and Editing and Motion graphics experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with multiple functions and teams to achieve results.
  • Proficiency with both Macintosh & PC platforms
  • Proficiency with social media sites graphic requirements, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
  • Able to work independently and is self-motivated to drive creative vision for the business.
  • Results-oriented with a refined sense of urgency
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced, complex organization and earn advocacy among collaborating teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks simultaneously.
  • Having failed fast, learn quick mindset to continuously improve.
  • Ability to comfortably receive feedback, ask questions.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and communicate project status.
  • Exhibit a natural curiosity for the design of arts.
  • Able to easily navigate design challenges.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82300 - $152800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
